This week we visited Harold and Liz in the Life Education truck to learn about Air we need to live... children identified important body parts for breathing - windpipe, lungs and the heart.
We watched Harold visit an aquarium and talked about how fish breathe through their gills then Liz had us sort pictures for the respiration cycle and classify pictures of things that do and don't need air .
Today we also talked about things that pollute the air - smoke, carbon dioxide and car fumes... the children even thought of the ash and smoke from volcanoes as an air pollutant. At the end of our session Harold sung us a song, we all thought he was real cool!!
